First off, I love snacks.
I don’t usually eat big meals because I like to eat a bunch of smaller portions throughout my day, so snacking is inevitable for me. Conversely, with snacking, I don’t always choose the healthiest options. Since I mainly snack on the go, eating things like chips, candy bars, and cream pies is often the result. These options as we all know aren’t so beneficial to my health and overall energy throughout the day, which is why I was on the lookout for an easier way to snack healthy. Well as luck would have it, I was introduced to a company called Fruigees, and let’s just start by saying my snacking life just got a whole lot better.
What are Fruigees?
Fruigees are a creamy fruit snack in a perfectly packaged squeeze pack made from a delightful combination of organic fruit and veggies. A little background on the product first, started by two cousins David and Josh in their grandparents’ kitchen, this snack was created to fulfill the demand for a fun, healthy, and adult-friendly snack.
I was lucky enough to try all three flavors that Fruigees currently offers, 24 Carrot Orange, California Grape, and Nothing Beets Cherry, to share with all of you how I felt about the product.
What I loved about Fruigees first and foremost was all of the great benefits they offer. Each Fruigees is completely organic, has ½ cup of fruit and veggie juice, non-GMO, no added sugar, BPA-free, 100% gluten-free, and vegan which is a perfect way to increase your fruit and veggie intake.
Now for those of you who are worried this going to taste like baby food or those applesauce packets for kids; you will be pleasantly mistaken. When I tried Fruigees, I found that the consistency of the fruit pouch wasn’t too light or thick. I do wish there was more product in the pouch, as I felt I consumed it rather quickly, however for those of you who like to savor the flavor and can’t finish it all in one sitting, there is a resealable cap.
I loved the taste of fruits and how convenient they are. When I am on the go I can grab one and not feel bad about snacking on something bad for me which is great and I don’t have to torture myself by being healthy because it does taste great. My favorite out of three was the California Grape which included kale that I normally hate but couldn’t even taste.
Currently, in the North Carolina area, fruits are sold at Ingles, however, it’s only $10 for a 24-pack off Amazon.com. This is a product I would recommend to anyone because it is 100% something both kids and adults can not only enjoy but also benefit from. Opting in for this organic option as a snack is a choice your health will be thankful for so take my advice and get squeezing!
