5 Frightful Flicks to Watch this Halloween

No pun intended, but if you love scary movies like me, 2017 has presented us with some of the best new films in horror that are to die for. From creepy clowns to demonic dolls, these 5 frightful flicks have cringe-worthy storylines that make them a must-watch this Halloween.

IT

Stephen King’s “It” is a classic thriller novel that transports your mind into an absolute world of horror. And guess what? The 2017 movie does just that too. Full of killer terrifying imagery, amazing child actors, and oh yeah a killer clown…just remember… you’ll float too.

Happy Death Day

For your typical comedic PG-13 slasher flick, this movie covers it all. Following the life of a sorority girl who relived the day of her murder, I truly enjoyed the film’s comedic relief and suspense elements. With some unexpected twists and turns, this film keeps the viewer guessing till the end, however, I must say I figured it out before the killer was revealed.

Annabelle: Creation

If you don’t like dolls, I advise you not to watch this movie. A terrific film in the next chapter of The Conjuring, this movie is demonic and makes you question what your dolls do at night. The film’s creepy atmosphere and special effects will surely draw you in and this film is another win for the child actors.

Insidious: Chapter 4

I have seen every Insidious movie to date, but this one looks like it may be the scariest of all. This supernatural flick is the fourth installment in the Insidious franchise and follows the infamous Elise Rainier as she travels to New Mexico to investigate deeper into The Further.

JIGSAW: Saw 8: Legacy

Just like all the other seven Saw films before it, this one is just as mind-boggling and gut-twisting. With a plot centered on the investigation of numerous bodies turning up gruesomely killed, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade…

But be warned…these movies are not for the faint at heart. Happy Halloween!

With Love,

Lex Paige
