The 2018 MTV VMAs introduced me to my new Latin lover, Maluma.
Maluma is a 24-year-old Columbian reggaeton singer who had a hit in 2017 with Ricky Martin titled Vente Pa’ Ca is easy on the eyes and sings like an angel. During the show, he performed his hit Felices Los 4, which is about an illicit affair in which both people have significant others and make room for all four to be happy together.
Besides his amazing voice, I can’t help but love his look. The dark hair, tan skin, and those glasses…pinch me…I may have a Latin fever. I mean who wouldn’t love a man that could pull off a suit with a French braid? But seriously, he is EXTREMELY talented. One of my favorites is his newest song Mala Mía.
With his crossover to American music starting this year, I can bet you we will be hearing a track collaboration from him sometime soon with a Top 40 star. So, if you are anything like me and like Latin music, especially reggaeton, you are going to love him!
