Fall is officially here on September 22nd and the festivals are better than ever in NC! If you love Fall and Pumpkin Spice everything like me, then you probably love festivals too. And lucky enough, North Carolina has plenty of festivals for you and your friends and family to enjoy. From Sasquatch to sauerkraut to the state fairs, there’s something for everyone at these fun events.

September 8: Bigfoot Festival, Marion, NC

Don’t miss this brand new Bigfoot Festival in western North Carolina that celebrates the legendary creature. It will be held 12-6 PM on three blocks of Main Street in downtown Marion, located about 36 miles east of Asheville. In addition to Sasquatch-themed items, find a variety of local craft and food vendors. Join the fun and sign up for the Bigfoot Calling Contest and Bigfoot Knocking Competition. Admission is FREE!

September 15: Lincoln County Apple Festival, Lincolnton, NC

Apples, family fun, food, and more; this is one event that showcases the community and everything you’d want and more this Fall! Whether you desire a whole apple pie, grilled Mexican Corn, or maybe even freshly fried pork skins, they have it here!

September 22: Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival, Elkin, North Carolina

Celebrated on the 4th Saturday in September is the Yadkin Valley Pumpkin Festival in Elkin, North Carolina.  The festival kicks off with the great pumpkin weigh-off.  Throughout the day, vendors will line the street selling food like pumpkin butter and crafts including paintings and pottery.  The festivities will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

October 11-21: North Carolina State Fair, Raleigh, NC

Is there ever anything finer than a cool crisp fall day spent with family and friends enjoying North Carolina’s Best tradition? We think not! Join us October 11-21, 2018 for the North Carolina State Fair, and stay tuned as we begin releasing everything on our must-see, must-taste, must-do list!

October 20-22: Carolina BalloonFest, Statesville, NC

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax in the autumn air as you watch over 50 colorful hot air balloons take flight twice a day.  That’s not where the fun ends though. Want a ride? You can even book a ride on a balloon at the festival plus enjoy food from Eat Street and beverages from the Wine and Craft Beer Garden.

With Love,
