If you know me, you know I love snacking. I mean I love food in general, but when it comes to eating a steak or a bag of cookies, I’m going for the cookies. And to speak about cookies, this brings me to my newest discovery, Belgian Boys. Belgian Boys was created by two brothers born in Belgium. The two moved from their home country to America and guess what? They missed their European sweets.
The Lex Paige Reaction
I was sent their waffle chips, mini stroopwafels, and their mini cookie butter stashes. To start with, I was a little worried the waffle chips would be too sweet, but I was wrong. They have the perfect balance of waffle batter and syrup flavoring in one. These would be amazing on ice cream.
The mini cookie stashes are a millennial’s dream come true. They have less than 140 calories, look awesome, are the perfect size for snacking, and taste great. The cookie butter tasted like gingerbread but was not hard at all. Fun fact, cookie butter is made from Speculoos cookies, which are crunchy, shortbread spiced biscuits from Belgium. I’m glad the bag isn’t bigger or I would most likely eat them all.
Finally, the mini Stroopwafels were delicious. They come in mini individual packages, so they are perfect for throwing in your purse/backpack/even pocket for when you need a pick-me-up snack. They are soft and have a light caramel filling that makes them taste exactly like a mini waffle with syrup in your mouth. I couldn’t eat more than two at a time because my stomach wouldn’t agree with all that sweet goodness, but these are the perfect little boost of energy you need in your day.
Lex Paige Final Thoughts
The Belgian Boys also made sure their products are non-GMO, suitable for vegetarians, kosher certified, free of artificial colors and preservatives, and they offer many nut-free products. My favorites out of the three were certainly the mustache cookies. Something I learned that I thought was pretty cool about these cookies was that you can now even get the chocolate chip ones on all JetBlue® flights. If I take a flight on the airline soon, you best know I will have an Instagram post with those mustache-shaped Choc ‘O Chip cookies.
Now as if their snacks weren’t enough to love them, I need to share one last thing about why I love this company and its products their #RockThatStash campaign. Belgian Boys are tied in with a charity and are encouraged to rock their cookie “stash” on social media and nominate a charity of their choice for a donation of part of the products’ proceeds. How awesome is that?! Check out my post below!
Overall, I am 100% a fan of the Belgian Boys. I love their snacks, and their charity aspect, and I would recommend if you love snacking (especially cookies) like me to try them out. Be sure to check out the Belgian Boys website here and let me know if you decide to try out these sweet treats.
With Love,
Lex Paige
