With my job, I get to meet a lot of different people. At my work’s latest event, I recently met Founder Toby Foreman of HÆRFEST COFFEE when they were set up at our Secret Santa charity event held at the Levien Children’s Hospital.
Twenty years ago Toby had a vision for HÆRFEST COFFEE while working with his brother Ethan who had an intellectual disability. This vision was to create a coffee roasting company with a specific intent to employ individuals with an intellectual and or developmental disability. Eight years later his son Reid was born with Down syndrome and that vision took on another level of conviction.
When HÆRFEST COFFEE was set up at our event I was able to see how incredible their setup was and how influential their work is. Not only was the dark roast coffee I tried and the latte delicious, but their station was set up with visual, touch, and sound sceneries. They had colors that went with each coffee blend, sound buttons, custom cups, and fabrics to touch. I have never in my life met anyone so passionate about helping others and bringing light to seeing everyone’s full potential.
The mission behind this company is truly astonishing and I can’t thank them enough for how they are changing our Charlotte community. I would 100% commend trying out HÆRFEST COFFEE in Charlotte at their location head down to 919 Berryhill Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. See more on HÆRFEST COFFEE Roasting Co. by clicking here.
