I love coffee. If I could just live off coffee I would. It’s delicious. So when I was asked to try out COLETTI’s Yosemite Camping Coffee I had to say yes!
About COLETTI Yosemite Camping Coffee
COLETTI’s mission is to be the best outdoor coffee company in the world. Whether you’re camping, glamping, hiking, hunting, or just hanging out at the cabin, they can help caffeinate your adventure.
Their purpose is the support those laboring to bring the good news of forgiveness to those in the hardest places of the world. The idea of COLETTI originated in 2002 when an army chaplain in Afghanistan identified religious intolerance and ignorance as a driver of conflict. You can watch the story here. Since that time COLETTI has assembled a team of combat veterans – with a combined total of 15 deployments – who have learned how to make off-grid coffee in some pretty austere places.
The Roast
This coffee is a high-caffeine coffee and a cold roast with robust notes. Its proprietary blend starts smooth and finishes strong – a dark to medium roast coffee that pairs well with a campfire. The coffee is made using USDA Organic whole bean coffee that is Fair Trade, ethically sourced, and micro-roasted in 7lbs batches in a premium roaster handmade in the USA. This coffee is great for anyone who loves backpacking, camping, glamping, van life or just sitting on the front porch enjoying the sunshine.
The Lex Paige Reaction
First off, we are a whole bean family and we love our French Press. So the first star is given automatically since this coffee is the whole bean. Second, after grinding the beans and boiling the water, the smell from the pour was what I imagine heaven must smell like. (that and pumpkin pie) It was Brew-yes to this coffee. This coffee has 20% more caffeine than Starbucks and it tastes great. I felt energized, it tasted wonderful and the enticing aroma was just a bonus.
