Splash into Summer Fun at Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe

Water Park

Ready to go to the waterpark? It is time to splash into summer fun at Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe. Since moving to North Carolina, I have found that when the summer heat comes…you are going to want to cool off fast. With temperatures that can get over the 100s, I was on the search for a great water park to cool me down. Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe is an amazing place to spend the day.

The Cabana

On this trip to Wet ‘n Wild, both my significant other and I rented one of the Cabanas. There was a great view of the harbor from our cabana. The Harbor View cabanas are located in Happy Harbor and can accommodate a maximum of ten guests. If the park gets busy, you can relax in your cabana with a table and chairs all day. Cabanas are great because they are both private spaces as well as have waiter/waitress service. By doing this, you can enjoy your visit to the park without having to wait in long lines. It is important to note that a cabana rental does not include park admission.

Reservations for cabanas must be made online at least 24 hours before arrival, and check-in must be completed by 1 pm to avoid cancellation. If you rent a cabana, you can order food and drinks (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic). There is also a locker inside your cabana. I highly recommend renting one of these because the convenience is worth every penny. We ordered a light chicken Caesar and ranch wrap for our lunch. I always recommend keeping it light if you are swimming.

Our Visit

I just want to start by saying this water park is fun for all ages. There are adrenaline-pumping rides like Dare Devil Drop and Bombs Away, as well as relaxing attractions like Lazee River. Try out the Dragon’s Den, Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror, or Raging Rapids if you want a thrill. For those of you who have little ones, Happy Harbor, the Leisure Lagoon, Soak Zone, The Cyclone Zone, or Thunder Bay (the Wave Pool) are perfect for a day of cooling off and play.

The Lex Paige Reaction

No matter how shallow the water is, Wet’n Wild has lifeguards available. This ensures your safety while swimming. Life jackets are also available everywhere if you need one. Children’s sizes are available, and they are free as well. I recommend one if you are going far out in the wave pool. I also recommend wearing shoes you can easily take on and off. Rides do not allow them. Also, don’t wear any heavy jewelry, or hats, and keep your sunglasses on a strap.

We had so much fun that we didn’t want to leave even after a full day of activities! I especially enjoyed the Dare Devil Drop. I went two times. It’s a long way to the top though, so brace yourself! The Lazee River is also my favorite because it’s so relaxing. I could float there all day long! Overall, I highly recommend taking a day this Summer and visiting Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe. You can see more about planning a trip to Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park here. Reminder, no outside food or drink is permitted in Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe. You can bring unopened water bottles. Be sure to check out their Instagram to see all the fun rides and summer fun.

With Love,

Lex Paige
