There’s nothing wrong with a little weekend trip to Asheville. I highly recommend staying at Bradley’s place in Swannanoa if you’re looking for beautiful mountain views and farm life. There are two bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen, and all your needs in this cozy stay just a few miles from Asheville.

Enjoying the North Carolina mountains at this pace is a delightful way to get away from it all. They even gave us a bottle of wine from the Biltmore. It was so sweet! Upon arrival, we went fly fishing on the river first. During our walk upstream, we caught some rainbow trout in the river. You can even walk 50 yards to the tiny waterfall on the Swannanoa and walk up the river path to the beautiful shoals with the postcard view.
In addition to the river, there is a nice park nearby if you want to take a stroll. As soon as we cleaned up, we headed into town for dinner at Juicy Lucy’s, which was only a few miles away. I highly recommend this hamburger if you are craving one. It’s a great burger bar, but make reservations in advance if possible. This place was packed even in the winter! Our next stop was Highland Brewery, which is only 15 minutes away. There are some great beers to try at this large brewery and it’s great how close it is to this stay.
My stand-alone tub was my last stop before I went to sleep. The experience was delightful! Besides being relaxing, I also really like the wallpaper. After a quiet night’s sleep, we awoke to the sight of mountains and farm animals. I greeted the sheep and even saw a pig who made a brief appearance before hiding away. We enjoyed some coffee while watching the sheep graze and on our way out we stopped at a local coffee shop just down the road to pick up some breakfast. I enjoyed getting away from the busy city and work week. If you would like to book, check out the link here.
With Love,
