When North Carolina’s summer heat turns up, you will wish you were at a waterpark. Luckily, there’s no better way to beat it than by diving into the refreshing thrills of Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe. Nestled in Greensboro, this sprawling oasis is one of the largest water parks in the state and a haven for families and thrill-seekers alike.
From high-speed slides to serene pools, Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe boasts over 40 water attractions that cater to every taste and age. Whether you’re craving adrenaline-pumping excitement or a leisurely float, this park has it all. During my latest visit, I was joined by my two best friends and their energetic little one, Aida. Keep reading to learn about all the fun we had.
Snag a Cabana for Ultimate Comfort
If you want to make the most of your day at the park, consider renting a cabana. I’ve done this for three years in a row, and I recommend it every year. It’s worth the cost! We chose a spot Bayside of the Wave Pool, offering a prime view of the park and plenty of shaded relaxation. Cabana rental includes electronic lockers, a front cooler, and dedicated service, which is perfect for avoiding long lines and securely storing your belongings. Just remember, cabana rental is separate from park admission.
Rides and Snacking
Our day began at the Soak Zone, where the little one had a blast before we moved on to the Leisure Lagoon. I love these locations because you can relax, swim, and just cool off. One important thing to note is that Wet ‘n Wild ensures safety with lifeguards stationed throughout, and life jackets are available at no extra cost. Aida enjoyed the shallow waters with us while we took turns experiencing some of the park’s exhilarating rides like Dare Devil’s Drop and Runaway Raft Ride. Fun fact, Dare Devil’s Drop stands over 80 feet high, and the Runaway Raft Rode is the longest attraction at over 600 feet of flume. For a more laid-back experience, we floated down the Lazy River, basking in the sun and enjoying a few laps. It was the perfect way to unwind before hitting the food court for lunch. With a range of food stands, everyone’s cravings were satisfied. We snagged some chicken fingers and chicken sandwiches. We also got some shots at the big red beach chair!
H2Go Passes
If you are not much for waiting in line, then check out the H2Go passes. The park has introduced a game-changing feature designed to put a splash in your step and a smile on your face, Luckily the park wasn’t that crowded so we didn’t need to get these. However, located in the rental building across from the Gift Shop, the H2Go Pass is your secret weapon against the wait. Imagine a virtual line buddy that does the waiting for you—sounds amazing, right? With the H2Go Pass, you manage your ride reservations straight from your phone or wristband. Simply select your desired attraction, and when your countdown hits zero, you get a notification that your spot is ready.
More Family Fun For Everyone
After enjoying a delicious lunch, we had a great time at the Lava Run. Then, we headed to the Rumble Bay Wave Pool for some exciting waves. Aida loved the Scooter Run slide, which is perfect for little adventurers who meet the height requirement. After that, we went on the Raging Rapids, which I love because we can switch up the fun with two- and three-seater tubes. We then had a great time competing on the Riptide Racer, where every splash and turn filled us with adrenaline and kept us smiling. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and had a carefree and joyous day at Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe.
The Lex Paige Reaction
Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe is more than just a water park. It’s your ultimate summer playground where exhilarating adventures, serene escapes, and family fun collide to create lasting memories. Whether you’re craving the thrill of high-speed slides, a blissful drift down a lazy river, or a sun-drenched day of relaxation, this park delivers it all. I wholeheartedly recommend dedicating a day this summer to dive into the excitement. Tickets are affordable, and they even offer special deals for groups or certain days.
To make the most of your visit, wear slip-on shoes since rides don’t allow footwear, and leave heavy jewelry and hats behind. Sunglasses on a strap will do just fine. While outside food and drink aren’t permitted, you can bring unopened water bottles. For convenience and style, grab a refillable one adorned with ride logos. Trust me, Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe is where your summer dreams come to life! Get your tickets here and enjoy a splashingly good day!
With Love,
Lex Paige
